Pediatric Physiotherapy
Pediatric Physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy centered on the 0-18 year old child and his family. This aspect bases its intervention on the scientific knowledge of child development and on the pathological events that can occur in the first years of life, acting both in terms of prevention, as well as in terms of rehabilitation and skills development.
Treatment begins with the child’s assessment. After the evaluation, the treatment is carried out in an individual and specialized way, including the teaching of strategies to parents and / or caregivers, in order to maximize the child’s well-being and functionality in the various contexts of his life.
Pediatric physiotherapy intervention is applied in the following areas:
- Recovery from fractures, sprains and other musculoskeletal injuries;
- Developmental delay;
- Neuromuscular pathology;
- Obstetric lesion;
- Congenital torticollis;
- Plagiocephal;
- Cerebral paralysis.
