Neurological Physiotherapy
Neurological physiotherapy intervenes in pathologies that affect the central or peripheral nervous system, causing neurological, motor and cognitive disorders, which translate into changes in functionality. The intervention applies both in adults and pediatrics. The goal is to promote appropriate motor standards by improving postural control. The patient is stimulated to restore his functions or readapt to his new condition, promoting independence and autonomy, consequently improving his quality of life. The intervention applies to a wide range of conditions, among which:
- Encephalic Vascular Accident (AVE)
- Cerebral Paralysis
- Vertebral-medular lesions (paraplegia, tetraplagia)
- Head trauma (TCE)
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Peripheral nerve injuries
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Muscular dystrophies
- Down Syndrome
- Facial Paralysis
